From market hall, ball room and magistrates court to town hall: this talk tells the story of Todmorden Town Hall. We look at the brothers and uncle who paid for it, and where their money came from, as well as touching on life in 19th century Todmorden. The building itself is the star with its beautiful architecture and Victorian engineering.

Margareta moved to Todmorden in 1970 and was elected to the new Todmorden town council in 1976, serving on and off over the following 35 years. As a member of the Town Hall Friends and a volunteer guide, she is well placed to take us on a virtual tour of the building and its history.
